History
Troop 3 is part of Torrington's rich history in scouting dating back over 100 years.
Chartered by Center Congregational Church over 100 years ago, Troop 3 - Boys is one of the oldest units in the BSA under the original chartering organization.
In 2022, when BSA expanded it's opportunities to allow girls to join scouting, Center Congregational Church eagerly chartered Troop 3 - Girls, cementing it's legacy of supporting youth groups in the Torrington community.
